Sparta Community Hospital has an excellent opportunity for a Family Physician to work in the Marissa Medical
Clinic. Sparta has a hospitalist program for your inpatients if you choose to use this model. There is practice call
which would be 1:9.
Sparta Community Hospital is a licensed 25-bed Critical Access Hospital that offers a wide range of services
including: OB, Surgery, and Emergency Medicine. CAH status allows the hospital to receive better reimbursement
for Medicare patients, assuring its financial stability. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. The ER services approximately 6,500 patients per year and is staffed 24 hours a day. The Hospital is a fully
equipped hospital providing services which include MRI CT, nuclear medicine, X-Ray, mammograms, 4D
ultrasound, echocardiography, laboratory services, cardiac rehab; physical therapy, home care services, and many
community support services. The hospital also provides an outpatient clinic for visiting specialist, so that patients
