Family Practice opportunity in East Central IL

Paris Community Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Family Physician for the Paris Rural Health Clinic.
This clinic is owned by the hospital. The hospital owns 3 rural health clinics – Paris, Kansas, Chrisman. The Paris
RHC is 28,000 square feet and opened in 2007. The Paris RHC experiences about 50,000-60,000 patient visits per
year. Paris Community Hospital Active Staff include: 5 Primary Care Physicians (4 FP’s and 1 IM), 2 General
Surgeons, 1 Orthopedic Surgeon, 1 Interventional Radiologist, 1 Podiatrist, 3 full-time NP’s, 2 full-time CRNA’s.
Paris Community Hospital’s Hospitalist Group provides in-patient coverage 24/7. Skills the practitioner may need
include outpatient and inpatient experience, though hospitalists are available if you do not wish to have an
inpatient practice. The clinic is very high paced and busy. The physician will be required to take practice call every
6th night (1:6) and every 6th weekend (1:6).
This opportunity offers a very competitive salary and benefits package including based on MGMA, paid CME time
and expenses, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, paid medical, dental, vision for physician and family,
paid life insurance and short term disability insurance, 403 B match - up to 4.5 % depending on years of service,
Bonus potential available depending on production, School loan repayment available and paid moving expenses.
Paris Community Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital in East Central Illinois. CAH status allows the hospital to
receive better reimbursement for Medicare patients, assuring its financial stability. The hospital operates 25 newly
renovated private beds. PCH has a primary service area of 20,000 and a secondary service area of ~20,000. The
ER services approximately 9,592 patients per year and is staffed 24 hours a day. Paris Community Hospital is a
fully equipped hospital providing services which include MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, Interventional radiology, EEG,
EKG, X-Ray, mammograms, ultrasounds, DEXAscan, echocardiography, laboratory services, cardiac rehab,
physical therapy, wound care, certified diabetes program, and many community support services. So that patients
don’t have to travel far from home, Paris Community Hospital also provides the services of many visiting
specialist.
Paris, IL is located close to the Indiana border in East Central Illinois. Paris is the county seat of Edgar County and
has a population of 9,000. Paris residents enjoy beautiful lakes, parks, a library, historic register homes, a
historical museum, an arts center, and our tree lined streets of Victorian homes. Activities residents enjoy include
a 18 hole golf course, mini golf, batting cages, YMCA, and fine dining establishment (Andrews at the Westbrook).
