Orthopedic Surgery opportunity in Paris, IL
Paris Community Hospital has an opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon. Board Certification or in
the process of obtaining certification is a requirement. This position offers the opportunity to be the only Orthopedic Surgeon
in a large service area. With Paris Community Hospital holding a strong 80% market share, the potential is tremendous. The
community of Paris also offers a low cost of living giving you the potential to maximize your income. Though this position is
solo, most all surgeries will be scheduled due to the low ER volume and level three designation. The hospital is equipped with 2
OR’s. Paris Community Hospital is willing to generously compensate the right physician.
The opportunity offers a competitive guarantee plus production bonus based on collections. Collections for the Family Medical
Center are excellent so the Orthopedic Surgeon would expect the same. There is easily a potential to make 650K-700K. The
hospital will provide generous benefits including health, dental, 3 weeks vacation, 1 week CME, 5K CME allowance, pension
plan, life insurance, disability insurance, and relocation assistance. Paris Community Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital in
East Central Illinois. CAH status allows the hospital to receive better reimbursement for Medicare patients, assuring its
financial stability. The hospital operates 25 newly renovated private beds.
The ER services approximately 9,592 patients per year and is staffed 24 hours a day. Paris Community Hospital is a fully
equipped hospital providing services which include MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, Interventional radiology, EEG, EKG, X-Ray,
mammograms, ultrasounds, DEXAscan, echocardiography, laboratory services, cardiac rehab, physical therapy, wound care,
certified diabetes program, and many community support services. So that patients don’t have to travel far from home, Paris
Community Hospital also provides the services of many visiting specialist. Paris, IL is located close to the Indiana border in East
Central Illinois.
Paris is the county seat of Edgar County and has a population of 9,000. Paris residents enjoy beautiful lakes, parks, a library,
historic register homes, a historical museum, an arts center, and our tree lined streets of Victorian homes. Activities residents
enjoy include a 18 hole golf course, mini golf, batting cages, YMCA, and fine dining establishment (Andrews at the Westbrook).
Paris is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Terre Haute, IN. Additional shopping and restaurants can be found in Terra
