Physician to join the Kirby Medical Group. This opportunity will offer a
physician the opportunity to work in a smaller community with easy 20
minute access to Champaign/Urbana, IL. The Family Practice
Opportunity offers a large call group (1:6), no OB, and the same state of
the art equipment and staff you will find in larger metro area hospitals.
The county will likely meet the needs of most rural health scholars and
student loan programs.
The opportunity is an employment opportunity with a competitive base
salary. Payer mix is not a concern with this type of compensation
package. The hospital offers benefits including reimbursement for
malpractice, health insurance, relocation assistance, CME etc.
Kirby Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital located in Monticello, Illinois. CAH status allows the hospital to receive better
reimbursement for Medicare patients, assuring its financial stability. The hospital operates 16 beds. Kirby Hospital operates an
ER that is staffed 24 hours a day with Physician Assistants. The ER sees about 10,000 patients per year. The physician assistant
can see non emergency patients without appointment 7 days a week. The hospitals surgical service provides surgeries on an
inpatient and outpatient setting. A variety of surgical services are offered at Kirby Hospital, including general, podiatric,
cataract, and gynecological surgeries. Kirby Hospital is a fully equipped hospital providing state of the art diagnostic and patient
services which include MRI, NEW 16 slice CT, Pet/CT, EKG, stress testing, X-Ray, sleep studies, mammograms, ultrasounds,
respiratory and pulmonary function testing; physical, speech, and occupational therapy; cardiology testing, telemedicine,
oncology specialty clinic, and many community support services.
