Hillsboro Area Hospital has two Family Practice Opportunities in their community.

The first opportunity is a Primary Care opportunity.  The opportunity will be inpatient/outpatient with no OB.  The hospital is
very flexible about the practice model you choose.  You can choose employment, income guarantee with an existing group, or
a partnership with a local physician.  The call will depend on the model and practice you choose. Call for employment is 1:3, for
the multispecialty clinic 1:5, and for the partnership 1:3.  If you choose employment the hospital will provided a competitive
base salary, full benefits, vacation time, CME time, CME allotment, and student loan repayment is negotiable.

The second opportunity is for a Family Physician to work in the Hillsboro Area Hospital’s Emergency Room. The opportunity is
for the day shift Monday through Thursday 7 am to 6 pm.  There are no holidays or weekends required.  The opportunity will be
an employment arrangement with the hospital. The hospital provides a competitive salary, full benefits, vacation time, CME
time, CME allotment, and student loan repayment is negotiable.
Hillsboro Area Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital located in Hillsboro, Illinois.  CAH status allows the hospital to receive better
reimbursement for Medicare patients, assuring its financial stability.  The hospital operates 25 beds.  Hillsboro Area Hospital is
accredited by The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and historically performs better than
90% of the organizations surveyed. The Hospital is fully equipped for you and your patients.  The hospital operates a 24 hour
emergency room staffed with physicians.  Hillsboro Area Hospital provides services that include MRI, 64 slice CT, nuclear
medicine, EKG, X-Ray, digital mammograms, ultrasounds, sleep studies, echocardiography, laboratory services, cardiac rehab;
physical and occupational therapy,  sports rehabilitation, home care services, and many community support services.  Hillsboro
Area Hospital also has an on campus medical rehabilitation facility and fitness center.  The facility includes an indoor lap pool,
small aquatics aerobics pool, indoor walking track, fitness facility, and outpatient physical therapy and sports rehabilitation.
The facility is open to the public for fitness. The hospital provides surgical services in the areas of general surgery, gyn
surgery, orthopedic surgery, Urology, ENT, Podiatry, and Ophthalmology.  Other specialties available in the Hillsboro area

Hillsboro Illinois is located in Montgomery County at the junction of Illinois route 127 and 16, just 11 miles east of interstate 55
and 22 miles north of I-70.  This small picturesque town (population 6,291) is located only an hour away from the bustling city
life in St. Louis, Springfield, or Decatur.  Hillsboro has excellent schools, and great recreational opportunities.  There are lots of
activities year-round in the Hillsboro area including hunting, fishing, boating, outdoor music festivals, golfing, and nature and
wildlife preserves.  There are four lakes for recreation in Montgomery County, Lake Hillsboro and Glenn Shoals Lake at
Hillsboro, Lake Lou Yaeger at Litchfield and Coffeen Lake.  Just down the road near Litchfield, a neighboring town, is Lake Lou
Yaeger.  Lake Lou Yaeger is the newest spot to catch site of American Bald Eagles.  This lake also provides recreation to the
area including camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, and boating. Hillsboro is also home to a state of the art fitness and
rehabilitation facility. This facility is located on the hospital campus.  Activities include swimming, swim team, aquatic classes,
elevated walking track, cardio room, weight training room, badminton, volleyball, basketball courts, group classes, personal
trainers, child care, and party facilities.
