Clinton Family Practice Opportunity
John Warner Hospital has an opportunity for a Family Practice physician to join a Rural Health Clinic practice. The Clinic is
located in the medical office pavilion attached to the hospital. This space was constructed in 1999. The practice consists of one
Pediatrician, one Internal Medicine Physician, one Family Practice Physician and one Nurse Practitioner. Office hours are
Monday thru Friday. The practice is in the process of converting to computerized medical records. Call for the practice would
be 1:4 and for the ER 1:4.
The opportunity is an employment opportunity with a competitive base salary. There is a RVU bonus structure which will allow
a physician to make bonus above their guaranteed salary. Payer mix is not a concern with this type of compensation package.
The hospital offers benefits including reimbursement for malpractice, health insurance, relocation assistance etc.
John Warner Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital located in Clinton, Illinois. CAH status allows the hospital to receive better
reimbursement for Medicare patients, assuring its financial stability. The hospital operates 25 beds. John Warner serves over
1,000 inpatients, 25,000 outpatients, and performs over 500 surgeries per year. The ER services approximately 7,200 patients
per year. The ER is designated level 3 and is staffed 24 hours a day. John Warner serves over 500 inpatients, 25,000
outpatients, and performs over 150 surgeries per year. The hospital also provides an outpatient clinic for visiting specialist, so
that patients do not have to travel far for specialty services. Additionally the county is served by a paramedic level ambulance
service from the hospital.
Clinton Illinois is located in the heart of Illinois and centrally located to three large Illinois cities. Clinton has a suburban feel as
it is located only 30 minutes from Decatur and Bloomington/Normal. Champaign/Urbana, home of the University of Illinois is only
a short 45 minute drive. A physician is able to maximize their income through the affordable housing Clinton has to offer. An
excellent public school system serves the community, with neighborhood school buildings often within easy walking distance of
home. An impressive high school facility and sports complex is located near Van Buren Street shopping. A community college,
